IM Sequencer

The IM Sequencer is a complete solution that will assist you in your daily Identity management.

Create/edit step configurations

Trough an intuitive interface you can create or edit step configurations, here you can easily select you management agent and runprofile *

* When you use the IM Sequencer on the server the runprofiles are automatically retrieved else a list of predefined runprofiles is displayed

Start/Stop ILM/FIM Management Agents

The sequencer will start or stop ILM/FIM management agents. This provides the same behavior as starting steps through the Identity Manager from ILM/FIM.

Generate status reports

When you have created a step configuration that contains several SingleSteps and MultiSteps the Sequencer will generate a HTML report.
The HTML report is generated trough an XSLT style sheet, this allows you to create your own style sheet that matches your company style.

All run statistics are integrated in the report giving you more insight on the number of data synchronizations.

Generate detail reports

When a SingleStep is finished there can be errors. The IM Sequencer collects all errors, sorts them and generates an easy to read HTML report. The HTML report is generated trough an XSLT style sheet, this allows you to create your own style sheet that matches your company style.

Integrated with the Traxion ILM Framework reports will display custom filter results.

E-mail reports

You can e-mail the generated reports to a list of specified recipients.

Thresholds

For every SingleStep you can configure a threshold. Thresholds are subdivided in export and import. You can specify add, update and delete thresholds for both import and export. Thresholds can be used to not accidentally delete a whole connector space when you have an unreliable connecting source.

Stop or continue on certain results

You can define what are acceptable results. This enables you to create conditions to stop if certain results occur.

Conditional processing

If there is no data available to synchronize (pending import or export) the management agent will not be started, this saves time and does not unnecessary start management agents if there is not data to synchronize.

Run external scripts or applications

You can provide a external script or application that can be executed before or after a SingleStep is finished. This enables you to do additional processing that completes your identity management synchronization solution.

Organize run & password history in ILM/FIM

It's not advised to let the ILM/FIM run history or password history grow to large in the database. The IM Sequencer will delete the run and password history from the synchronization database and optionally store the runhistory results on disk.

Parallel step processing

Steps in the step configuration can be ran parallel. For instance you can start multiple ILM/FIM agents that are importing or exporting information from and to a connecting source.

Sequential step processing

Steps in the step configuration can be run sequential. For instance you can run ILM/FIM agents after each other. This also allows you to check each result before continuing to the next step.

Schedule tasks that start on predefined times or events

For instance every day at 20:00, or when file "x" is added to the directory "C:\Tmp" or when data is available in Omada, FIM or in the management agent

Stop tasks

If a task is running too long, task can be stopped automatically or manually.

Advanced reporting for tasks

All results for a tasks and steps within a task are recorded and generated within readable reports

Use advanced triggers to start a task to achieve real time synchronization

File changed triggers, time triggers, Omada triggers, FIM 2010 triggers, custom triggers etc.

Define start conditions for each task

Conditions allows you to manage when a task is allowed to start, for instance only start if a specific file is available or a management agent is not running. Also custom conditions are easily integrated.

Create multiple steps within a single task

Copy input files, start the sequencer, copy output files, start custom scripts or applications send log files through e-mail, execute SQL procedures or even create custom steps etc.
